- Is Eco-Py safe?
The active ingredient in Eco-Py is Pyrethrin, which is a natural extract from the chrysanthemum flower. Eco-Py is one of the safest and most effective insecticides known to man.
- How do Pyrethrins work?
Pyrethrins act on the nervous systems of insects; initially hyper-stimulating the nerves, then later blocking nerve synapses leading to death. Insects affected by Pyrethrins, tend to fly in a crazed manner towards light; it’s called the phototropic effect.
- Is Eco-Py approved by the government for use?
Yes, it is registered with the National Environmental Agency (formerly known as Ministry of Environment)
- What types of insects does Eco-Py control?
Eco-Py is effective in controlling most insects including flies, ants, cockroaches, spiders, fleas, dust mites and mosquitoes.
- What does Eco-Py smell like?
It is odourless.
- Is the Automated Eco-Py Insect Killer Kit easy to use?
Yes, it is hassle-free. It works 24 hours a day, 30 days a month. Most people choose this option as it is more convenient than having to manually spray on a daily basis and there are times when they forget.
- How often do I need to change the batteries?
The batteries will last up to a year in your dispenser. They should be replaced with AA alkaline batteries only.
- Does the Eco-Py Dispenser come with any warranty?
Yes, it comes with a 1 year warranty.

- Is this safe around humans?
Yes, as the amounts of active ingredients that are dispensed into the air from the dispenser and circulated via proper ventilation are so miniscule that they will not have any adverse effects on mammals (humans and warm blooded pets). In fact, the amount of product dispensed
by an Eco-Py dispenser over the course of one day is less than a 5 second burst from a supermarket brand space spray.
Pyrethrins are the insecticide in the formulation. They have very low mammalian toxicity and break down very quickly once exposed to light so are considered very safe for humans and warm blooded pets, however are very toxic to fish and other aquatic creatures.
